Mr. Alcus Lee Dillon

Alcus Lee Dillon, Sr. 83, of McComb, MS departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Southwest Regional Medical Center. Visitation is Friday 6-8 at Peoples Undertaking Co. Services are Saturday 1 p.m. at Peoples Undertaking Co. with Rev. Joseph Taretteze, officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest Church Cemetery. Elder Alcus Lee Dillon, Sr. slipped away from us on October 31, 2021 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center after a lengthy battle with his illness. He was born on February 18, 1938 in Gillsburg. MS to Priscilla Carter Dillon and Howard Dillon, Sr. He was united in holy matrimony to Lorena McClendon Dillon in December 1961. They moved to the Gertman Hill Community in McComb, MS where he operated an Automotive Repair business for over 40 years, until he retired. He joined Sherwood Seventh Day Adventist church in 1971 and later became a Deacon, and later an Elder where he served faithfully until his health started to fail him. Elder Dillon was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Priscilla Dillon; his wife Lorena McClendon Dillon; one brother James Edward Dillon; three sisters Jessie Mae Dillon White, Ethel Dillon, and Gloria Dillon, a Son-in-Law Lawrence Vernon Ross. He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted daughter Carolyn Dillon Ross of McComb, MS; five sons David E. Dillon of Gillsburg, MS; Charles A Dillon, Sr. of Fernwood, MS; Onlie Martel Dillon, Alcus Dillon, Jr., Zachariah Dillon all of McComb, MS; two sisters Louvenia Dillon Wilson of Dallas, TX; Betty Jean Carter of Bogalousa, LA; one brother Howard Dillon, Jr. (Mattie) of Newberry, SC; a stepson Tycho V. Brown o McComb, MS; a stepdaughter LaChanda Brown; an ex-wife LaJolla Weir Dillon. He also leaves to mourn his passing 5 grandchildren: a devoted grandson Lawrence V. Dillon of McComb, MS; DeLeesa Dillon of New Orleans, LA; DeReena Dillon Rangel of Magnolia, MS; Renyata A. Dillon of Biloxi, MS; Charles A Dillon, Jr of Fernwood, MS.; and three great grandchildren: Edwin & Evan Rangel of Magnolia, Ms and Jemorius Stewart of Biloxi, MS. We will continue to follow the CDC guidelines, Mask and Social Distancing will be required upon entering the facility. Services entrusted to Peoples Undertaking Co.
