Mrs. Carmen Delores “Connie” Anderson McGhee, 71, departed this earthly realm on Thursday, July 23, 2026, in Oklahoma City, OK. 6:00 pm-8:00 pm visitation Thursday, August 6, Peoples Undertaking Co., Service Friday, August 7, 11:00 am Christ Temple, Church of Christ Holiness, U.S.A. Elder Willie Nick Jenkins, Officiating. Internment in Greenwood North Cemetery. Mrs. Carmen Delores “Connie” Anderson McGhee, affectionately known as “Connie,” was born on September 19, 1954, in McComb, Mississippi, to the late Clarence Henry Anderson and Bettye Moore Jackson. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Norman McGhee; her parents, Clarence Henry Anderson and Bettye Moore Anderson-Jackson; her maternal grandparents, Mr. Fred Moore, Sr. and Mrs. Willie Ramsey Moore; her paternal grandparents, Tillie Ashley Anderson and Howard Anderson; her siblings, Clarence Anderson, Jr., Deborah Wells, Janice Thornton, and Cynthia Stallings; and her grandson, Johnny Young, Jr. Connie was reared in the Burglund Community of McComb, Mississippi. She attended Higgins High School and McComb High School. She was employed with Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi, for 46 years until she retired. Connie was a devoted member of Christ Temple Church of Christ Holiness U.S.A. She leaves to cherish her precious memories and her loving children: La-Tonya Anderson Vence (Alvin) of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Contessa Anderson, formerly of McComb, Mississippi; Norma Jean Anderson of McComb, Mississippi; Freddie Anderson of Oklahoma City, OK; and Whitney McGhee of McComb, Mississippi. 15 grandchildren and one cherished great-grandchild; 5 brothers, Michael (Andrea) Anderson, Howard Jerome Anderson, Tony Bonds, Lenard Thibodeaux, and Carl Jackson; 2 sisters, Ethel (Eric) McCarter and Sonja Renaye Jackson; her brother-in-law, Jerry McGhee (Diana) of Tacoma, Washington; her sister-in-law, Tracee Hughes of McComb, Mississippi; her loving aunts, Dr. Linda Anderson of Jackson, Mississippi, Rev. Janet Moore of Chicago, Illinois, and Dr. Joyce Moore of Chicago, Illinois; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
