Sis. Margie L. White

Sis. Margie L. White, 80, of Metairie, LA, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, LA. Visitation 4:00pm-6:00pm Friday, March 28, 2025, Second New Guide Baptist Church in Metairie, LA service following at 6:00pm. Internment Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 am in Moss Grove Cemetery in Jonesville, LA. Ms. Margie was born on April 21, 1944, in Jonesville, La. She was the daughter of the late Gabe Hall Sr. & Maggie B. Sadler Hall. She grew up with one brother, the late Gabe Hall. From an early age, Margie accepted Jesus Christ as her savior; she was baptized by the late Rev. Baker of Moss Grove Baptist Church in Jonesville, LA. She attended Jonesville Consolidated High School, and as a young woman, she relocated from Jonesville to Metairie, LA, in 1969 with her two young daughters. In 1970, Sis. White placed her membership at Second New Guide Baptist Church under the late Rev. Auther Dandridge. She served faithfully as the president of the senior usher board during the tenure of the late Rev. Calvin Jackson Sr. and continued her service under Pastor Dale J. Sanders Sr. Her dedication to her family, church, and community was unwavering. Sis. White's life was marked by her faith, her family, and her community. For over 20 years, she served as a member of True Democrat. She worked tirelessly to get people out to vote. Sis. White was employed by Tulane Medical Center of New Orleans for 15 years as an environmental technician. Sis. White is preceded in death by her father, Gabe Hall Sr., her mother, Maggie B. Sadler Hall; her brother, Gabe Hall Jr.; and her niece, Wanda Hall. Her legacy of faithfulness and love continued to inspire those around her. Her story is a testament to a life well-lived centered on devotion to God, family, and service to others. She leaves behind five children: Joesph (Tina) Hall of Jonesville, LA, Timmy L. Hall of Jonesville, LA, Dr. Valerie D. Hall of LaPlace, LA, Corretta F. (Steven Sr.) Lewis of Kenner, LA, and Derrick Hall of Mississippi; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces; a host of cousins; and friends.
