Ms. TaKeysha L. Green

Ms. TaKeysha L. Green, 42, of McComb, MS, departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 13 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Visitation Wednesday, May 17th, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Community of Believers CF Church service following at 12:00 noon with Dr. Terry L. Weems, officiating, Rev. Tasha Dillon, pastor internment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Summit, MS. Keysha was born on February 28, 1981, to Clifton Green and Althea Green Branch. Keysha was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Green; her maternal grandparents, Sam Branch and Reba Houston Branch; and her paternal grandparents, Mr. Robert "Buster" Green and Mrs. Emma Jean Butler Green. Keysha is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and a certified recreational therapist, as well as a member of the Southern Mississippi Chapter of the Gamma Beta Phi Society. She also completed studies at Co-Lin and became a licensed cosmetologist. She founded and incorporated Blissful Recreation. Keysha is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated and was initiated into the Pike County, Alumnae, Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta in 2004. As a Christian and member of New Life Fellowship Full Gospel Church, she inspired children and youth to have deeper walks with Christ. she leaves to cherish her memories her three children with DeAndre M. Powell: 16-year old Deandre O. Powell and twins, Landon D. Powell and London D. Powell, who are 14. ; her mother Althea Green Branch; two siblings: Chris (Frankquinetta) Dillon of Spring, TX, and Tasha Dillon of McComb, MS. six aunts: Bobbie Sue Miller (Lorton, VA); Bobbie Jean Seals of Summit, MS; Shirley Marie Powell (Jerry) of McComb, MS; Elaine Jackson of Summit, MS; Terry Harden of Texas; and Martha Ned of Louisiana. three uncles: Larry (Molly) Branch of McComb, MS; Lonnie (Linda) Branch of Jackson, MS; and Larry Thomas Green (Army Veteran) of McComb, MS. A devoted niece, Christian S. Dillon. four nephews: Jeffrey D. (Kia) Robinson; Markeith S. (Reggina) Dillon; Christopher D. Dillon; and Dai'Shan D. Dillon. A childhood 'brother-in-spirit' Derrick Alexander, three childhood friends: Daffeney Davis, LaShanna McKinley, Rashanda Seals McKnight (Terrence), and three special cousins Larry Cardell Branch, Jasmine Faust, and Ricardo "Rico" Jackson, Jr. A host of family, cousins, great-nieces, nephews, classmates, and friends will forever cherish Keysha's contribution to a life well lived.
