Mr. Terry Cameron

Mr. Terry "T-Cam" Cameron, 51, of Summit, MS answered his call peacefully surrounded by family and friends Friday, March 24, 2023 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Visitation Saturday, April 1,1:00pm - 2:00pm at Peoples Undertaking Co. with service following at 2:00pm Pastor Michael Upkins officiating. the internment will be in Chisholm A.M.E. Church Cemetery. Terry was born July 19, 1971 in Chicago, IL to the late Jessie Cameron, Sr. and Gloria Faye Cameron Holmes. Terry graduated from St. Patrick High School in Chicago, IL where he was an avid basketball player. His skills earned him a scholarship to Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, MS where he played basketball for 2 years. He also earned a scholarship to play for The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg , MS where he continued to show his skills for his love of basketball. He was a devoted New Orleans Saints fan. No matter the score or what the win-loss record was at the end of the season; in his eyes, the Saints were still the best in the league. Not only did he wear Saints attire, he bought a black and gold car to boldly spread his love for the team. His wish to be in the stands among Saints fans became reality last year. He was accompanied by his cousin Cornelia Gayden who was determined to make his dream become reality with a seat in the end zone suites, and for that we are forever grateful. Terry was employed by Smitty’s Supply Inc. in Roseland, LA for 12 years. Because of his diligence and dedication, he was promoted to manager. He was also employed by Walmart Distribution, Brookhaven, MS and Cavenham, in Magnolia, MS for a number of years. Terry was preceded in death by his father: Jessie Cameron, Sr.; brother: Jessie Cameron, Jr.; grandparents: O.G. and Earlene Cameron; John Lawrence and Elizabeth (Watkins) Tobias. Terry leaves to cherish his memories: one son; Terry Cameron Jr. of Syracuse, New York, Mother: Gloria Faye Cameron Holmes (Isiac); brother: Gregory Cameron, of Summit, MS; a loyal friend: Takeshia Stewart of Brookhaven, MS; a special niece LeTiffany Anderson of Liberty, MS; five grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends.
