Ms. Mary Ann Christian

Ms. Mary Ann Christian, 72, of Magnolia, MS departed this earthly life on June 8, at Southwest MS Regional Medical Center in McComb. Visitation 5:00pm – 7:00pm Wednesday June 15, at Peoples Undertaking Co. Service 1:00pm Thursday June 16 at New Home MB Church in Magnolia, Rev. Robert McCarty officiating with burial in the New Home MB Church Cemetery. Ms. Christian was born on October 2, 1949, to the late Arlessa Nunnery and Mildred Magee Martin. She was a loving and compassionate Nurse at Beacham Memorial Hospital for many years. Ms. MAC, as she was so belovedly coined, also served at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, and Liberty Living Center. Mary was also a devoted member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church where she began under the leadership of Ned Taylor Sr. She served as the Church Secretary, Sunday School Secretary, President of Pastors Aide, Announcement Clerk, President of the Adult Choir and Kitchen Committee. Mary loved to travel. She has cruised to many different exotic locations such as the Grand Cayman, Cozumel; Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Bahamas, Alaska, British and U.S. Virgin Islands. She was preceded in death by her late ex-husband Robert Earl Christian Sr., her parents, Arlessa Nunnery, Mildred Magee Martin and Alce Martin Sr., her siblings Brady Lamar Magee, Ronnie Martin, Jimmy Nunnery, Henry Nunnery and Maurice Chester. Mary leaves to cherish her memories with her 3 sons; MSG. Robert Earl Christian Jr., Marcus (Joni) Christian, Pastor Michael (Dr. Veronica) Christian; and 1 daughter Rachelle Christian. A host of Brothers and Sisters, Sharon (Herbert) Williams, James (Penelope) Martin, Larry (Rhonda) Martin, Patrick (Michelle) Martin, Victoria Martin, and Alce (Helene) Martin, Sylvester (Frankie) Nunnery, and Ruby Nunnery. She also left behind who she called her “heartbeats”, her 9 grandkids; Bryan Hildenbrand, Kimberly Hildenbrand, Elijah Hendee, Tyreek Hendee, Renee Christian, Micheala Christian, Marcus Christian, Michael Christian Jr, and Anthony Christian; 2 great grandkids, a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. We will continue to follow the CDC guidelines, Mask and Social Distancing will be required upon entering the facility. Services entrusted to Peoples Undertaking Co.
